  • Glazing work at Bath Roman Baths

The Local Authority asked us to get involved in the renovations of the Roman Baths in Somerset. We were asked to remove the existing leaded lights and temporarily glaze the windows.

The existing glass was over 100 years old - we re-leaded this glass and installed a solar tint film on each individual pane (NR Charcoal 17HC) to prevent glare on the large viewing screen in the main reception hall.

Finally the new leaded lights were reglazed to the openings. The work was carried out during the night, to allow "open as usual" during the daytime. On this project we worked in conjunction with a stained glass restorer.

We installed roof lights in St. Catherine's Court, a Grade 1 listed monument, near Bath. Owned by actress Jane Seymour and her husband James Keach, the property is a fine example of a late Tudor and early Jacobean Court built in Renaissance style.

Ministry of Defence, various sites in Somerset and Wiltshire

We have repaired, renewed and altered over 3500 UPVC and aluminium windows for the Ministry of Defence over the past five years.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary, Portishead, North Somerset

We were asked to supply and fit Solar Reflective Film (Silver 35), throughout the main traffic control building in Portishead. Staff needed more privacy and were experiencing problems with glare on computer screens. The film has the additional benefit of acting as a heat barrier during the summer months.

Bristol Magistrates Court, Avon

We supplied and fitted Armorgard 7 Thou Clear Bomb Blast Film, BS6206 Class 'A' to large panes of glass throughout the building to protect staff and visitors.

St Philips Junior School, Odd Down, Bath

Working for the Local Authority, we upgraded the building's glass roof and windows for safety and appearance. We reglazed roof lights and replaced old windows with double glazed UPVC units, including fascias and gutters.

We also installed solar reflective film to the library roof to stop glare from sunlight and keep the interior cool.
